Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 17, 2026

Plain-language summary: Unbothered - Daily Quotes has no account, sign-in, or user profile of any kind. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, camera, or location. The app tracks almost everything — including which lines you've liked and your notification schedule — entirely on your own device. The things that leave your device are an anonymous tally when you tap "love" on a line, an anonymous subscription-status check if you purchase premium access, anonymous product-analytics events (e.g., which screens you view, which buttons you tap) not linked to your identity, and an anonymous, privacy-preserving signal to TikTok if you installed the app from a TikTok ad, which does not use your advertising identifier and cannot be used to track you elsewhere. We do not sell your data to anyone.

1. Who We Are

Unbothered - Daily Quotes is an iOS application developed and operated by Ameya Labs LLC, a Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Washington, United States ("Ameya Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Unbothered - Daily Quotes and visit our website at ameyalabs.io (collectively, the "Services").

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect. The App has no account creation, login, or user profile of any kind. We do not collect:

2.2 Aggregate "Love" Counter (Supabase)

When you tap the heart icon on a line, the App sends an anonymous request to increment a public, aggregate counter for that specific line — for example, "12,847 people felt this." This request contains only the numeric identifier of the line itself. It does not contain your name, device identifier, account, or any other information that identifies you. This data is stored using Supabase, our backend database provider. See supabase.com/privacy.

To prevent the same device from inflating a count by tapping repeatedly, the App keeps a local, on-device record of which lines you've already loved. This record never leaves your device and is not linked to the aggregate counter in any identifiable way.

2.3 Content Library (Supabase)

The App periodically downloads its current library of lines from Supabase so that content can be updated without requiring an app update. This is a one-way, read-only request — the App does not transmit any information about you in order to receive this content.

2.4 Subscription and Purchase Status (RevenueCat and Apple)

The App offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. To verify and manage entitlement status (i.e., confirming that a purchase or subscription is active so premium features unlock), the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription management platform. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your installation of the App and receives purchase/transaction data from Apple's App Store to confirm entitlement status. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other directly identifying information we hold, because we don't hold any. See revenuecat.com/privacy and Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

2.5 Local Notifications

If you opt in during onboarding (or later in Settings), the App schedules a local notification once per day. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. The App does not use push notifications, does not register a push token, and no notification content or schedule is ever sent to or generated by a remote server on a per-user basis — the schedule is computed and stored locally.

2.6 Device Permissions

The App requests only one optional device permission:

Permission Why It Is Needed Data Leaves Device?
Notifications To deliver the optional once-daily local notification No — scheduled and delivered on-device by iOS

2.7 Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you contact us for support at [email protected] or [email protected], we receive the information you include in your message, such as your name and email address. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add it to any marketing list.

2.8 Product Analytics (PostHog)

The App uses PostHog to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which onboarding screens people complete, whether the subscription paywall converts, and whether the daily content is resonating. PostHog collects anonymous usage and interaction data (e.g., which screens are viewed, which buttons are tapped) tied to a randomly generated identifier stored on your device, not to your name, email, or any other information that identifies you. This data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is not used for advertising. See posthog.com/privacy.

2.9 Advertising Attribution (TikTok)

If you install the App after seeing or interacting with an advertisement for it on TikTok, the App uses TikTok's App Events SDK to measure whether that ad campaign was effective — for example, confirming that an install can be attributed to a specific ad, and whether a purchase followed. This measurement relies entirely on Apple's SKAdNetwork framework, a privacy-preserving mechanism built into iOS: it does not use your Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and cannot be used to build a profile of you or track you across other companies' apps or websites. The SDK also observes completed in-app purchases (via Apple's StoreKit) as a signal of ad-campaign quality; this observation is not linked to your name, email, or any other information that identifies you. We do not use TikTok's SDK for retargeting, audience-building, or any tracking beyond this anonymous, aggregate measurement. See TikTok's Business Products (Data) Terms and Privacy Center — Ads and Your Data.

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above for the following purposes only:

We do not use any collected information for building advertising profiles, retargeting, or any purpose other than those listed above.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary:

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

7. International Data Transfers

Ameya Labs LLC is based in the United States. Our third-party service providers (Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, and TikTok) may process data in the United States or other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that these providers rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses to lawfully transfer data internationally. By using the App, you acknowledge that anonymous aggregate, entitlement, analytics, and ad-attribution data may be transferred to and processed outside your country of residence.

8. Children's Privacy

Unbothered - Daily Quotes is not directed at children under the age of 13 and its content and humor are intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App has no accounts and collects no personal information as part of its ordinary operation, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or equivalent laws elsewhere. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information (for example, via a support email), please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your information:

Right to Know

You can request information about what data we have collected about you and how it is used.

Right to Delete

You can request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Correct

You can request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

Right to Opt Out

We do not sell your personal information. You may request to opt out of any collection described in this policy by contacting us.

Right to Portability

(EU/UK) You can request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to Object

(EU/UK) You can object to processing of your data based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. Because the App does not tie any of the anonymous data described in this policy to your identity, we may not be able to locate data corresponding to a specific individual — in that case, we will confirm this to you in our response.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at [email protected].

EU / UK / Swiss Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our lawful basis for processing the anonymous aggregate and entitlement data described in this policy is our legitimate interest in operating the App's core features (the love counter and premium entitlement unlocking). This processing is limited, anonymous where possible, and does not outweigh your fundamental rights. For support communications, our lawful basis is contract performance or, where no contract exists, your consent in reaching out to us. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Other Jurisdictions

If you are located in a jurisdiction with data protection laws not specifically addressed above (for example, Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, or Australia's Privacy Act), we intend to honor the rights and obligations described in this policy consistently with those laws to the extent they apply to us. Contact us with any jurisdiction-specific request and we will respond accordingly.

10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Ameya Labs LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

11. Third-Party Links

The App's Settings screen and paywall may link out to this page, our Terms of Use, Apple's subscription management page, and a support email address. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of any third-party destination and are not responsible for their privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — including if we add new third-party services such as analytics or crash reporting in a future version of the App. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
