1. Who we are

Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes is operated by Ameya Labs LLC, a Washington, United States limited liability company. This policy describes the Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes app and its support interactions. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

2. Your library and iCloud

The app stores preferences, saved reading identifiers, the daily reading schedule, reading history, theme and appearance choices, daily reveal state, and reminder settings locally. Versions with personalized onboarding also store your setup progress, selected challenges and goals, familiarity with the texts, reading preference, and music and haptic preferences on the device. Timed meditation preferences and the current session deadline or paused time are also stored locally. These answers are not sent to PostHog or Supabase and are not included in our iCloud library sync. Older stored data may also include practice or journey progress. A compact reading schedule is shared with the app’s widget through an on-device App Group. Saved reading identifiers, save/unsave changes, reading dates and identifiers, and completed practice and journey identifiers sync to a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account when available. The app stores an account-specific identifier locally to prevent uploading an existing library to a different Apple Account. Sync runs automatically when the app opens and periodically while it is active and online, and after library changes. There is no manual sync button. Unsynced changes stay on the device; continuous syncing while the app is closed is not guaranteed. We do not upload your iCloud library or sync journal to our Supabase content database or PostHog analytics service. Individual reading interactions can generate the limited analytics events described in section 5; restoring or syncing saved readings does not generate new save events. Apple processes iCloud data under its own privacy terms. iOS backup and device-transfer features may also retain or restore local app data according to your Apple settings.

Searching happens within the downloaded library. Your search text is not sent to our analytics or content service. Topic selections, theme choices, and reminder preferences are stored on the device rather than synced as part of your iCloud reading library. Daily wisdom and optional Premium meditation reminders have separate times and switches, saved on your device. Notifications are optional local reminders scheduled by iOS; enabling them does not enroll you in a remote push-notification service.

Music included with the app plays from bundled files and does not require a streaming account, microphone access, or uploading audio. Reading music, previews and guided breathing stop when the app leaves the foreground. Music in an explicitly started timed meditation may continue while the phone is locked or the app is in the background. Silent sessions may use a local completion notification if you allow notifications; notification sounds follow your iPhone settings. We do not record your breathing, voice, heart rate, or other biometric measurements. Basic breathing and meditation interaction events (start, completion or early exit, chosen breath count or duration, and entry point) are included in product analytics; they do not contain your onboarding answers or an assessment of your wellbeing.

Music acknowledgment: bundled instrumental tracks were created with Suno. Listening takes place on your device; the app does not connect to Suno or send your onboarding answers, listening activity, or other app data to Suno.

3. Content delivery

Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes downloads readings from Supabase and keeps a local copy for offline use. The app makes read-only content requests and does not upload your saves, reading history, or interests. As with other internet requests, the service and network infrastructure can process an IP address and technical request information to deliver content, operate securely, and troubleshoot failures. 4. Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes purchases and payment details. We do not receive your payment card number. RevenueCat helps verify purchases, restore access, and manage subscription entitlements. It processes purchase and subscription records, product identifiers, transaction information, and an app-generated customer identifier. These records also support subscription reporting and fraud prevention. RevenueCat also delivers the subscription-offer screen and processes paywall impressions and interactions, offering identifiers, and related purchase outcomes to measure subscription performance. These events can be associated with its app-generated customer identifier.

We do not connect the RevenueCat identifier to an in-app account, name, or email address. An identifier and purchase history can still be personal information even without your name. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy information.

5. Product analytics

The app uses PostHog, configured with its United States ingestion endpoint, to measure basic events such as completing onboarding, opening a daily reading, saving or sharing, and interacting with subscription offers. Events also describe app launches, updates and backgrounding, onboarding steps, appearance selections, reminder setup outcomes (not the chosen reminder time), library browsing scope and search result counts (not the search text), and purchase or restore outcomes. Events can also describe opening a share-card preview, the selected square/story share format and completion/cancellation/failure, tapping Rate us, Share app or Email support, and requesting an in-app review prompt. These events do not include support message contents or sharing recipients and do not confirm that an email was sent or a review was submitted. Subscription interactions can include the product, offering, entry point and whether Premium access was confirmed. Reading interaction events can include the public catalog identifier of the reading, whether it is saved at the time of the interaction, and whether it was opened from Today, Library, Saved, history, a notification, or onboarding. Legacy event types may also describe practice or journey activity. This helps us understand which readings are useful and revisited. These interactions can indicate preferences even though we do not send your selected interests or an iCloud account identifier. Events can include a randomly generated installation identifier and standard technical metadata such as app version, operating system, device model, locale, and timestamps. Starting with version 1.0.1, PostHog uses the IP address of the network request to estimate geographic information, such as country, region, city, postal area, time zone and approximate coordinates. These geographic properties are associated with analytics events and their installation identifier to help us understand our audience. The estimates can be inaccurate and do not come from GPS or device location services. Version 1.0 requests that PostHog skip geographic enrichment. Network infrastructure receives an IP address when processing requests in either version. An installation identifier and its event history can be personal information even when no name or email is attached.

The app does not attach your chosen interests, search text, reading text, or free-form personal content to these events. Session replay, automatic screen tracking, interaction autocapture, and surveys are disabled. We do not use these events for advertising or cross-app tracking. See PostHog’s privacy policy.

6. Support and sharing

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include. We use that information to answer your request and resolve related issues. Content or copyright reports may include reading identifiers, rights-ownership information and supporting evidence; we use these to investigate, communicate about the report and maintain a record of corrections or disputes. We may disclose relevant details when needed to resolve a rights claim or meet legal obligations, while limiting unnecessary personal information. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, payment-card details, or Apple account credentials.

Sharing a reading is your choice. The iOS share sheet sends the image to the destination you select; that destination’s policies apply. The app does not automatically publish your reading activity.

7. Your choices and rights

• Product analytics are enabled by default, with no analytics consent prompt or opt-out switch in the current app. An analytics-off preference saved by an older installation is still honored if retained. You can contact [email protected] with privacy questions or requests, including an objection or deletion request where applicable. Contacting us does not itself switch off collection on your device. Uninstalling the app stops that installation from sending new app events; it does not automatically delete records already received or cancel a subscription. RevenueCat also processes subscription and paywall data as described in section 4.
• Change or disable daily wisdom reminders in Settings → Daily reminder, and meditation reminders in Settings → Music & stillness. You can also revoke notification permission in iOS Settings.
• Remove saved readings in the app; unsave changes sync when the app is online. Deleting the app removes local app data but does not delete an existing iCloud library, which can restore after reinstalling with the same Apple Account. Manage the app’s iCloud access and stored data in iOS Settings. Removing the cloud copy pauses sync on an already linked installation to avoid automatically recreating it. Device backups may retain copies.
• Manage or cancel purchases in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to ask about other rights available where you live. We may need information sufficient to verify and locate a record. Because the app has no account, we may not be able to link an installation record to your email without additional details. Depending on applicable law, you may also request a portable copy of your information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. We may request only the details reasonably needed to verify your request and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. If a request is denied, we will explain any available appeal process.

8. Retention, security, and service providers

Local reading data remains until removed from the device or replaced by the app. The private iCloud library retains reading history and sync records, including unsave records needed to prevent old devices from restoring removed bookmarks, until its cloud data is removed through Apple’s controls. We retain support correspondence, analytics, and subscription records only as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purposes, including responding to requests, evaluating product performance, maintaining access to purchases, preventing fraud, and meeting legal or accounting obligations. When no longer needed, records are deleted or de-identified in accordance with applicable service settings and obligations. You can contact us about a specific record or deletion request.

We use service providers to deliver content, process subscription status, provide product analytics, and handle support. We require protection consistent with this policy through applicable service and data-processing terms. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by these providers. Applicable safeguards and mandatory privacy rights continue to apply. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Children and policy changes

Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and address it.

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version; we will provide additional notice where required.
