1. Agreement and app license

These terms apply to Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes, operated by Ameya Labs LLC. By using the app, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Your license to the iOS app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless a different license is expressly provided in the App Store. These terms supplement that license; they are not a separate custom EULA. The applicable app license controls licensing matters, including license scope, termination, warranties, liability, and its governing-law provisions. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights.

2. Readings and context

Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes presents source texts and English renderings for education and personal reflection. Translations and interpretations may differ. Deeper dives are editorial explanations, not additional scripture or an official translation. They may draw on other literature to explain an idea. Historical translation sources and attribution are retained, but no universal or official interpretation is promised.

The app is for education and reflection. It is not a medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional service, and it does not promise a particular personal outcome. You decide whether and how to apply an idea from a reading. The app does not promise an action or exercise with every reading. Some content is prepared with AI assistance and editorial review. Accessible summaries simplify complex ideas and may contain errors; they are not official religious guidance. If a reading seems inaccurate, harmful, or misattributed, please report it through our content concerns process.

Historical views and non-endorsement. Historical works may express religious beliefs, social hierarchies, attitudes toward gender, or other views that readers find objectionable. Presenting or translating a passage does not mean that Ancient Wisdom - Daily Quotes or Ameya Labs LLC endorses its views, claims, or practices. Preserving a source’s meaning is distinct from recommending its teachings. Read critically and consider the surrounding context. We may correct, restrict, or remove content when appropriate; this notice does not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Optional guided breathing is a general relaxation exercise, not medical treatment or a guarantee of calm or any spiritual outcome. Breathe comfortably, without forcing or holding your breath, and stop if the exercise feels uncomfortable. Music acknowledgment: the app’s instrumental tracks were created with Suno under a paid commercial-use plan; we do not claim exclusive rights over material that is not eligible for copyright.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• The app shows available plans, billing periods, and localized prices before you confirm a purchase. Benefits are those described in the current offering. We do not promise features that are merely planned.
• Payment is charged through your Apple account at purchase confirmation, or after an eligible free trial as shown in the offer. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge for renewal within the final 24 hours. The full charge and billing period are shown before purchase, subject to Apple’s displayed terms.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in Apple’s subscription settings. Removing the app does not cancel it. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access normally continues until the paid period ends, subject to refunds, revocation, and Apple’s terms.
• Use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple account used for purchase to check an existing entitlement.
• Trials or introductory offers apply only when explicitly offered and when you are eligible. Their duration and subsequent price are shown before purchase. A trial converts to a paid subscription unless canceled according to the offer’s terms. Price changes follow Apple’s notification and consent requirements and applicable law.
• Refund requests are handled through Apple’s refund process, subject to applicable policies and consumer law.

4. Content and intellectual property

Ameya Labs and its licensors retain any applicable rights in the app’s code, design, illustrations, and original editorial material. We do not claim exclusive copyright over public-domain works or material that is not eligible for copyright. Ancient source material and third-party translations may have different rights; provenance does not imply that every translation is public domain or that Ameya Labs owns the underlying tradition.

You may use the app for personal reading and share the cards generated by its sharing feature, preserving the source and attribution shown. Public-domain material remains available for lawful reuse, and any identified open license continues to apply; these terms do not narrow those permissions. Other copying, redistribution, or commercial use of protected material requires the relevant rights holder’s permission unless otherwise permitted by law. Do not misrepresent editorial prose as a canonical quotation, remove attribution, or imply an endorsement that has not been given.

Where a source transcription is identified as Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike material, you may reuse it under the identified license, including for commercial purposes. Source references and licensing records are retained for the collection. Contact us for the attribution and license information associated with a particular passage; a share card is not a complete source or licensing record. Any applicable rights in our normalization and mechanical transliteration are offered under the same source license. This permission concerns the identified text; it does not imply that the app software or illustrations use that license. Public-domain rights remain unaffected.

For a copyright concern, contact [email protected] with the reading reference, the work you believe is affected, your relationship to the rights holder, a source link or other supporting information, and a way to contact you. We will assess the report and may restrict or remove the reading while investigating. This reporting process does not limit any legal remedy.

5. Availability and changes

Downloaded readings can be used offline. The collection contains selected passages, not necessarily every verse or chapter of a source book. New content, purchase verification, iCloud synchronization, and some support functions require an internet connection. Saved readings and history can sync automatically through your Apple Account when iCloud is available. Themes, interests and reminder preferences remain local. Sync may be delayed or unavailable; deleting the app does not necessarily remove its iCloud data. Widget refresh and notification delivery are managed by iOS and are not guaranteed at an exact time.

We may correct, replace, or remove content to address accuracy, rights, or technical issues. Updates reach connected devices when the app successfully refreshes; we cannot remotely recall exported share images or guarantee immediate removal from devices that remain offline. App updates and library availability may change. Any changes affecting paid services remain subject to applicable law, Apple’s purchase terms, and your mandatory consumer rights.

6. Responsible use

Use the app lawfully. Do not interfere with its services, bypass access controls, or infringe other people’s rights. Sharing a reading through another app or service is subject to that service’s terms as well.

7. Warranties, liability, and consumer rights

The warranty and liability provisions in the applicable app license apply. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, guarantees, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We cannot guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, free of every error, or suited to every individual circumstance.

For a dispute, contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us is not a condition of exercising a legal remedy and does not extend legal deadlines. Applicable consumer rights, including rights to bring claims in your home jurisdiction where required by law, remain unaffected.

8. Privacy, changes, and contact

Our Privacy Policy explains local data, product analytics enabled by default without an in-app opt-out switch, content delivery, purchases, and support. Acceptance of these terms does not waive privacy rights or replace consent where applicable law requires it. We may update these terms and will change the date above and provide additional notice where required.
