Print Apple Reminders as a checklist you can take with you

Choose what belongs on this list

Smart Printer App can read your Apple Reminders lists with permission. Start with one list, such as groceries or weekend jobs. Combining everything you have to do usually produces a longer page, not a more useful one.

Decide whether completed items should appear. For an active shopping list, hide them. For a record of work you finished, including completed items may be exactly what you want.

Arrange the tasks for the way you will use them

The app offers sorting by priority, due date or name, and grouping by list or due category. Alphabetical order can help you find an item quickly. Due-date order makes more sense for appointments and deadlines.

Review relative date groups before printing. “This Week” uses the next seven days, which may differ from a Monday-to-Sunday calendar week. For a deadline-sensitive list, keep the actual dates visible and check them.

Print from your iPhone

1. Open Reminders in Smart Printer App and allow access.
2. Select the lists you want to include.
3. Set the completed-item option and choose sorting and grouping.
4. Review the checkboxes, notes and dates in the preview.
5. Print to a compatible printer.

If reminders are missing, first check that they are visible in Apple’s Reminders app on the same phone. This feature does not connect directly to unrelated task services.

Leave yourself room to finish

A note that made sense when you wrote it may be unclear a week later. Before printing, change “call” to “call the electrician about the kitchen light.” Small edits make the paper more useful without making it longer.

Marking a checkbox on paper does not complete the task on your phone. If you need both copies to stay current, take a moment to update Reminders when you return. For a shared errand or a focused afternoon, that small tradeoff can be worth having the phone out of your hand.
